Stunning delicate versatil braided lariat made to order composed with 2 huge half-round Tahitian black pearls of more than 15 mm each, 2 other round clearer Tahitian pearls of 11.5mm each and a shinny heavy gold "vermeil" 10 mm drop made to order by a "jeweller smelter" craftman which i met during a recent trip.
This vermeil drop is sterling 925 silver which have been strongly gold-plated 24k.
This is the best combination for those with allergy to normal, plated findings.
The difference between vermeil, and gold-filled, is in the thickness of the gold and the base metal used : In vermeil, the base is sterling silver. The standard is for the gold plating to be much thicker than ordinary plating.
