Hand Cut and delicately polished crystal glass drops mounted on two 18k yellow solid gold ear hooks with leather knots.
A silicone tip is provided with the pair of earrings for more security.
Crystal glass has been used for centuries by glassblowers and master glassmakers. The "crystal" is a type of glass with a concentration of metal oxides (in particular lead oxide PbO), up to 40% more in mass which makes it more brilliant (Its brilliance is increased by increasing its refractive index), denser and therefore brighter.
Once hand-cut each of the drops from a block, I delicately polished the drops in order to obtain a perfect luminosity and shine.
